Thinking ahead to your concert needs, you quickly decide on consciousness. After all, this way you can ride the elephant to the show, which should both be faster and a very dramatic entrance. Turns out, all it really needed was some yogurt for its gut bacteria and some quantum particles, both of which you happen to have on you. *Poof* the mechanical elephant is now conscious, experiencing phenomena, and sensing the world. You hop on and tell it to take you to the Red, Her Rings show but it instead ignores you and heads off to eat some mechanical grass. Ah, right, it's conscious but at an elephant level, so probably not aware of the show or experiencing any sense of obligation to you. Being slightly stuck on top of the 20 foot tall mechanical beast, you accept things with an open heart and ride out into the world as the elephant follows its mechanical wants.
