You pitch a slightly avant-garde idea: what if you hold the dance contest in silence? The contestants enthusiastically agree since it would give them a chance to show off skills they don't normally get to. Soon after the competition begins, it quickly evolves into something slower and more theatrical. Improvised plays are staged with elaborate narratives that showcase not only the incredible physical acumen of the birds, but also their mental agility in how they can create these stories in real time. They’re of all generic stripes: tragedies, comedies, everything in between. It's an incredible night, and everyone agrees it's the start of new era in the competitive bird dancing world. Sure, it’s kinda niche, but hey, it's nice to be able to say you helped foster the creation of something entirely new.
