By learning to use your tools, like whatever instruments you happen to play, you increase your 'vocabulary' of creative things you can do, equipping you with even more ways to be creative. Perhaps, counterintuitively, there is no creativity without the often uncreative work of incompetence. Quickly coming around to your argument, the robots abandon the NI and go back to DJing by hand (or in this case by extendible manipulatory dingus) and agree to do their best and rock a great set for your camp.
