You realize that the negotiators for the management have a point here: you can't simply threaten. It will work better if you offer them something they can use to save face, and after some thought, you offer your tent, lost as it might be. Turns out the heavenly host needs not too much effort to locate a single tent, and it's brought in to the room. They even correctly squeezed it back into the original bag. After some time, everyone comes to an agreement. Everyone wants to avoid a strike after all, and the recovery of your tent, meagre as it may be, is enough to call it a win for everyone. The only problem, of course, is now you no longer have a tent to sleep in tonight. A small sacrifice to pay for improving the lives of so many and it does technically resolve your original problem because your tent is no longer missing, which you suppose is a nice consolation as you climb into your sleeping bag for a good morning's sleep.
